Large Print crisis

The stock librarian, Leslie Coombe-Watkins, who has existed on a diet of Directors bitter and Shippams sandwich paste  since 1805, sorts through the large print for the home library. ‘The books keep getting bigger and bigger while our shelves get smaller… and they’re the divil of a nuisance to read during rush hour.’
